3 oz. Bottles Galore

I started packing today. I'll give you a moment to pick your jaw up off the floor.

I woke up this morning to the pitter-patter of tiny little feet running across the floor. I jumped out of bed because I knew - BABY IN THE HOUSE!!! I spent a few minutes chatting with my roommate Katrina's baby sister, Sophia, who was visiting with Katrina's dad. She gave me a hug and told me she wanted juice. I can't think of a better way to start my day.

After spending a good half hour chatting on the phone with my wonderful sister-in-law, Rachel, and buying a Mother's Day gift for my sweet momma at Red Envelope, I decided to put on the proactive pants and get a head start on this packing thing. I headed over to Wal-Mart (unpleasant as always) and spent entirely too much money on toiletries and tiny little bottles to put them in. Good thing flying is so convenient these days.

As a reward for my accomplishments, I went to Half-Moon Outfitters and bought myself a new bag to carry in Ireland as well as a couple of really awesome Prana shirts and a new Capilene zip tee. It's too hot and muggy in GA right now to wear them, so I'll be itching to get them on in Ireland.

When I got home from my busy, busy day, I cracked open a Blue Moon (I told you, I'm taking this beer drinking thing very seriously) and actually began to put things into the suitcase. So far I've got a full set of carry-on toiletries ready to go just in case, God Forbid, my luggage gets delayed, and I did a little test run to make sure my other toiletries fit nicely into one bag. I refuse to pack like a girl on this trip. I'm doing it right this time. Now I'm sure my roommates will be really happy when I decide to remove my packing efforts from the middle of our living room floor. Needless to say, there wasn't sufficient floor space in my oh-so-organized bedroom to house my efforts.

For the rest of the day, I guess I'll do a little more work on the packing, maybe clean my room a little, probably take a nap or two (or twelve)... it's a rough life. And if I get a wild hair, I just might finish my Finance homework and study for those exam things everyone keeps talking about. I've only got one tomorrow and it's not even a real exam, so the stress level is pretty contained at the moment.

Take care... and be ready for tomorrow. It's a big day.
Why, you ask?
In the words of David Byrne, "I'll tell you later."
